FP2030 is the successor to FP2020, a global initiative that was implemented between 2012 to 2020. FP2030 focuses on a variety of issues in order to increase access to rights based, voluntary Family Planning, regardless of where someone lives, age, gender, marital status, physical ability or orientation. It also aims to build strong, sustainable partnerships between governments and civil society organizations (CSOS), to accelerate progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
